Gregory's Sigma GH-GJ Series Service and Repair Manual, Scientific Publication No. 189, is the comprehensive Australian workshop manual covering the Mitsubishi Sigma GH and GJ series produced from 1980 to 1983. This example was published by Gregory's Scientific Publications, Sydney, in February 1985 as the First Reprint of the Third Edition. An increasingly nostalgic piece of Australian motoring literature, it dates from the period when the locally built Sigma was a familiar sight on Australian roads.
The manual covers Sigma, GL, SE and GSR sedans, together with Sigma, GL and SE wagons, fitted with the Saturn 1600 O.H.C. engine and Astron 2000 and 2600 O.H.C. engines. Prepared as a practical service and repair reference, it provides detailed workshop information across the vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems, accompanied throughout by photographs, diagrams, specifications and step-by-step technical illustrations. The opening pages also provide useful period images identifying the GH and GJ sedan and wagon body styles.
Produced by Gregory's own Sydney editorial and research centre, these manuals were designed for owners, home mechanics and professional repairers and have since become collectible references for surviving Australian-market cars. With the Mitsubishi Sigma GH and GJ now firmly within the classic-car era, an original period Gregory's manual makes an excellent companion piece for an owner, restorer or collector, while remaining a genuinely useful workshop reference more than forty years after the cars it covers were produced."
