Arnaud d'Ossat (20 July 1537 - 13 March 1604) was a French diplomat and writer and a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, whose personal tact and diplomatic skill steered the perilous course of French diplomacy with the papacy in the reign of Henry IV of France."
Heavy wear with damage to covers and spine as shown. Outer hinges split with both covers wobbly but attached. Cover layers are starting to seperate. Binding is solid with no loose pages. Some light water staining present with examples shown. Book worm damage present with examples shown. Pages otherwise clean with age toning. Includes full page portrait as shown. Pagination has some errors/binding mistakes. For example some page numbers are wrong. Pages 1-28 all complete however then followed by pages 11-16, lacks 17/18 then from page 19 to end of book page 824 + table is complete. Bindings appear original so likely an error from the printer but cannot confirm. Please study photos to understand condition. Happy to provide more photos on request.
