The Family Register relates to the Grant family and commences with a marriage at Horsham, Victoria, Australia on the 18th Day July 1877. This bible was a likely wedding gift. It includes multiple photos of family members including the wedding couple, both born in Scotland in 1851 & 1852.

Bible has been rebacked retaining the original cover skins with the endpapers being replaced at the same time. The bookbinder has done an excellent job as the bible is now firm, strong and ready to serve for another 150 years. See FAMILY REGISTER notes in description. Pages clean and well presented with some minor creasing and one page tear (no loss) noticed. The last couple of pages of the concordance are missing with the section ending in the R's. Gilt edging is in good order, aged but still gleaming. A beautifully illustrated, c1877 bible with a fascinating early Australian Family Register in very good condition overall.
