Light wear to covers with heavy fading to the outer spine as shown. Includes 15 black & white plates with tissue guards + frontis + folding coloured map (note there is a tear in the coloured map as shown). Inside hinges split however binding is excellent with no loose pages. Some light foxing present interspersed with predominantly clean pages. Contemporary inscription at front of book and the odd page with light pencil marks. A nice copy of a desirable 1st edition in good condition overall.
