PROVENANCE : All 3 volumes contain the bookplate of Francis Jeune D.C.L. - Francis Jeune (22 May 1806 - 21 August 1868), also known as François Jeune, was a Jersey-born clergyman, schoolmaster, and academic who served as Dean of Jersey (1838-1844) Master of Pembroke College, Oxford (1844-1864), and Bishop of Peterborough (1864-1868).

" Epistres de Saint Paul (Brussels: Chez Eugène Henry Fricx, 1709) is a finely produced early-18th-century theological edition of the Pauline Epistles, comprising three substantial volumes that together present a detailed exposition and commentary on the letters of Saint Paul. The series begins with Aux Corinthiens (363 pages), exploring Paul's moral and doctrinal guidance to the Corinthian church—his reflections on faith, charity, and the organization of Christian life within a corrupt and divided society.
