" Jones Quain (1796 - 1865) was an Irish anatomist, born at Mallow. Quain was Professor of Anatomy and Physiology in the University of London. He was author of Elements of Anatomy, of which the first edition was published in 1828. Quain's Anatomy was first published with the fuller title Elements of descriptive and practical anatomy for the use of students in 1828. The copy here is the seventh edition published two years after Quains death."
