It details the story of a girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world of anthropomorphic creatures. It is seen as an example of the literary nonsense genre. The artist John Tenniel provided 42 wood-engraved illustrations for the book."

Dustjacket present, price clipped with some staining, chipping etc as shown. Cloth covers and spine in very good condition. Includes ALL 16 coloured plates. Binding is excellent however one plate (p. 96) is loose. Aside from subtle age toning, the pages are clean and beautifully presented. Very good condition overall.
