"Frances Lloyd-Owen (born 1907) was a Canadian writer and a member of the Canadian Women's Press Club. She authored several books, including The Gnome's Kitchen: A Story of Woodland Animals (1946), which was published in London by Harrap. The book is a juvenile fiction work that tells a whimsical story featuring woodland creatures, blending elements of fantasy and nature storytelling. Lloyd-Owen also wrote other books such as Joe and Pinto (1937), Gold Nugget Charlie (1939), and The Call of the Cougar (1941)​."
