Provenance : Best & Bernice Overend - Acheson Best Overend (15 October 1909 - 28 July 1977) was an Australian architect. He is best known for the Cairo Flats in Fitzroy, built 1935—1936, a daringly Modernist design for Melbourne in the 1930s.

Her name is particularly associated with her first book, the 1861 work Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management . She was born in London and, after schooling in Islington, north London, and Heidelberg, Germany, she married Samuel Orchart Beeton, an ambitious publisher and magazine editor. "

Light wear and scuffing to covers and spine as shown. Tope of outer spine is slightly shaped inwards due to weight of text block. There are 2 ex-libris (Overend) signatures as shown. A few marks on endpapers otherwise pages are very clean and well presented. There are no loose pages and the binding is in excellent shape. Very good condition overall.
