" Florence Edith Burch (1856-1918) was born in 1856 in Cheshunt, the daughter of cotton dyer George Burch and his wife Jane Burch. In the 1880s, she began writing fiction for the Religious Tract Society, following in the footsteps of her elder sister Harriette Emma Burch. Neither sister married and Florence died in 1918."
