Complete 2 Volume Set In Original Bindings

"William Henry Bartlett (March 26, 1809 - September 13, 1854) was a British artist, best known for his numerous drawings rendered into steel engravings."

Heavy wear and fading to covers with some damage and lifting to the cloth in various places. Leather spines remain in excellent condition with some minor splitting to outer spine joins. All 62 plates present across both volumes as per index for a total of 124 plates. The title page cluster in Volume 1 is loose. The pastedowns have lifted and endpapers have some minor insect damage. There is some foxing present with the vast majority of text being very clean. Several (around 10) pages/plates have "adhered" in a small edge spot in Volume 1 and have left a small spot around 5mm in diameter - no loss of content, pages separated. There is some age "clouding" to the plates and one plate in particular with foxing however the vast majority are quite clean and well presented. Tissue papers are intact. Binding is very good with no other loose pages. Please study photos to understand condition. Happy to provide more photos on request.
