Seller Notes: Heavy wear, scuffing, some rub through and damage to covers and spines as shown. Outer spine hinges split with threads exposed however all covers are attached and the bindings in general are in good condition. Text block bindings are excellent across the 4 volumes with no loose pages or plates. Pages are overwhelmingly clean with some age toning present. No foxing. Volume 1 contains a full page portrait engraving/frontispiece. Volume 4 contains all 23 numbered plates (including several folding) however there appears to be a leaf removed between pages 128 and 129 - somewhat odd as all numbered plates are present and the pagination is correct. Scarce in any form, this 1752 1st edition, complete 4 volume set represents a wonderful opportunity for the fortunate new owner(s). Text blocks are in VERY GOOD CONDITION and covers are in GOOD CONDITION. Please study photos to further understand condition.
