"David G. Falk (1858 - 1937) was a British-born Australian businessman and author. Born in Manchester, England, he later moved to Australia, where he became the managing director and a director on the London board of P. Falk and Co. Ltd., a wholesale jewelry company based in Melbourne, which also operated in Adelaide. He retired from business six years before his death due to ill health and passed away in Melbourne in 1937​. In addition to his business career, Falk was also a writer. One of his known works is Rick, or The Recidiviste: A Romance of Australian Life, published in 1891, which appears to be a novel centered on themes of Australian life."
