Amorous Fiammetta by Giovanni Boccacci - 1926 - Antique Italian History BookAmorous FiammettaBy Giovanni BoccaccioRevised From The Only English Translation With An Introduction by Edward HuttonPublished by The Navarre Society Limited: London 1926 Limited Edition"Giovanni Boccaccio (1313 - 1375) was an Italian writer, poet, correspondent of Petrarch, and an important Renaissance humanist. Born in the town of Certaldo, he became so well known as a writer that he was sometimes simply known as "the Certaldese" and one of the most important figures in the European literary panorama of the fourteenth century. Some scholars (including Vittore Branca) define him as the greatest European prose writer of his time, a versatile writer who amalgamated different literary trends and genres, making them converge in original works, thanks to a creative activity exercised under the banner of experimentalism."Limited Edition copy with minor wear to covers and spines as shown. Charlemagne & Genghis Kahn (includes both volumes)
By Harold Lamb
Published by International Collectors Library: New York c1950's

"Harold Albert Lamb (1892 - 1962) was an American writer, novelist, historian, and screenwriter. In both his fiction and nonfiction work, Lamb gravitated toward subjects related to Asia and the Middle East. Lamb was an advocate of inclusive literature and history, saying to The New York Times in 1953, "It all came out as an intense irritation over the fact that all history seemed to draw a north-south line across Europe, through Berlin and Venice, say. Everything was supposed to have happened west of that line, nothing to the East. Ridiculous of course."

Light wear to covers and spine as shown. No inscriptions or library marks. Pages clean and bright. Gilt edge to top edge. Nice copies in very good condition overall. Please study photos to further understand condition.
