Collected Poems Of Alexander G. Steven
Published by Edward A. Vidler: Melbourne 1925 1st Edition 1st Impression

"Alexander G. Steven (Alexander Gordon Steven) was an Australian poet born in London in 1885. He moved to Australia as an infant and later became known for his lyrical and nature-focused poetry. His works were praised for their beauty and technical precision, and he was sometimes referred to as "The Australian Keats" due to his romantic style and focus on natural imagery.

Steven published several poetry collections, including The Witchery of Earth and Wind on the World, which received positive reviews from literary critics and prominent poets like John Masefield. His collected works were published posthumously in Collected Poems of Alexander G. Steven (1925). He passed away in Melbourne in 1923 due to health complications that had troubled him for years."
