" Sir Walter Scott (15 August 1771 - 21 September 1832), was a Scottish historian, novelist, poet, and playwright. Many of his works remain classics of European and Scottish literature, notably the novels Ivanhoe (1819), Rob Roy (1817), Waverley (1814), Old Mortality (1816), The Heart of Mid-Lothian (1818), and The Bride of Lammermoor (1819), along with the narrative poems Marmion (1808) and The Lady of the Lake (1810). He had a major impact on European and American literature."

General wear, scuffing and some cosmetic damage to covers. Outer cover on volumes 1 and 4 have been tape repaired on the outside as shown. All other covers secure. Prelim pages with light foxing however the vast majority of the contents of all 4 volumes are very clean and well presented. Marbled text block edges have partially faded. There are no loose pages across the 4 volumes. A decent set of early Walter Scott works. Please study photos to further understand condition.
